Perhaps as an effort to appeal to those facing crisis during these tough economic times the Borgata Poker Open has dropped the $10k buy in to $3,500. Reducing the buy ins has happened before in recent years, but typically they are dropped down to $5k. The aim of lowering the buy in this much is to bring in more casual players, giving them a chance at a championship title, but also filling the tourney with dead money.
